Childminding Seminar 'Quality Childminding for All' 2011 Evaluation Report

A collaborative seminar for Childminders was initiated between five City and County Childcare Committees including Dublin City Childcare Committee, Fingal County Childcare Committee, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Childcare Committee, South Dublin County Childcare Committee, and Wicklow County Childcare Committee.

Almost ninety delegates came to enjoy the event and learn about Aistear. The key focus was to introduce childminders to practical applications of Aistear in their everyday practices. There were 12 workshops offered throughout the day and delegates were able to choose to participate in 4 workshops related to four different themes of Aistear. National Guidelines for Childminders


These guidelines are intended to provide guidance for good practice to assist childminders.  They include nationally agreed guidelines for good childminding practice, detailed information on statutory notification to the HSE, and voluntary notification process, services provided to childminders by the City/County Childcare Committees, Childminder Advisory Officers and Childminding Ireland, as well as contact details for relevant organisations.
