Childcare Support Workers Network
The Childcare Support Workers Network was established in order to develop and support a network of those involved in supporting childcare provision. In addition to this the sub group is a place where concerns can be raised and when members can get a better understanding of issues concerning them allowing them to bring the information back to the people working at a local level.
The membership of the group includes the following:
- Dublin City Childcare Committee, Board Representative and staff member
- HSE Pre School Officers and Childminding Advisors
- 8 Partnerships based within the 5 Dublin City Administrative areas
- National Voluntary Childcare Collaborative - Dublin Workers
- Dublin City Council Children's Services Unit
- Local Childcare Resource Service Representative from the following areas:
- Dublin North West
- Dublin North Central
- Dublin South Central
- Dublin South East
- Dublin Central
The group meet four times a year and at the start of each year complete a Work plan stating their aims for the year ahead.
The DCCC board representative and staff member feed back information to the manager and board of DCCC at the monthly executive meetings and bi-monthly board meetings.
